Kings Church Alpha Courses
At King's Sunday morning church attendance is important, but we place a great emphasis on regular weekly small group meetings which meet in members homes. Typically, a home group consists of between 6-12 members. Sometimes the groups are mixed and sometimes just the men or just the women meet together. This is because we have benefitted so much from ladies and men's groups as well as mixed groups that we like to enjoy the benefits of both!
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the life of the home groups as the members seek to care for one another, learn and pray together and introduce their friends and family to the wonderful news of God's love.
Most of our groups are organised by age and geography, where possible, so that local people can meet together. It is far easier to give and receive help and support when the people in your group live just around the corner.
Homegoups ensure that as the church grows, we don't loose the intimacy and closeness of a small church. In the groups we all share the responsibilities of church life and practice.
The home group meetings normally meet on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening starting between around 8pm and they follow a standard pattern but this may vary week to week.
Groups also hold social evenings, outreach events and provide practical help, support and encouragement on a day to day basis.
Most groups usually aim to finish the main part of the meeting by 9.30pm - 10.00pm. If you would like more information about our Home Groups or are interested in visiting one, please fill in the form below and we'll be in touch.
