Kings Church Alpha Courses
The Attic has been running since 1997 and serves the community by providing a place where young people (secondary school age) can go to hang out in a safe environment. Here they can play some pool, table football or other games and generally relax. There is no pressure but we believe it is important to let these young people know that there is a God and that he has a plan for their life. We hope that being with real Christians, having an occasional talk on a relevant Bible issue or listening to others' experiencies of God will open the doors to their own spiritual exploration with us.
We are thoroughly convinced that God wants to help and guide these young people to a life that was designed to be full of joy and purpose.
If you want to find out any further information about the Attic then please contact Matt either on 01489 894734 or email matt@kingschurch.org. Alternatively you can fill in the form below. The Attic is every Friday (term time) 7:30 - 9:30pm admission 50p
The YPHG meet each Monday evening during term time in Ian and Louise Luke's home to have fun and find out more about Jesus and His plans for their lives.
The evening usually starts with a game or 'ice breaker' which is designed to be a lighthearted introduction to the evening's activities. We usually then move on to looking at God's Word using a variety of interactive study methods. The idea is to unpack God's message in a way that makes it accessible for young people, in a safe environment, that is inclusive and friendly and where anyone can feel free to ask questions.
We also have plans underway to introduce other activities including social events, worship and attendance at Christian Youth events.
If you're aged between 11 and 16 and want to find out more about the YPHG please feel free to contact Ian or Louise Luke on 01489 691038 or by e-mail ian.luke@ntlworld.com. Alternatively you can fill in the form below.
