Welcome to our website
Whoever you are and wherever you are from, you are important to God and we think you’re amazing, too! We want your experience of church to be a memorable event– a place where you feel comfortable and at home. Whether you’re single, married, single again, with or without children – no matter where you have been or what you may have done – we warmly invite you to check out The King’s Church – a place where new life can be found and new friends can be made. This is church – but not as you know it!
What can I expect?
King’s Church is full of wonderful people of all ages just like you and they are thrilled to share what they have found with others. We meet on the first floor of our building and on your arrival you will be greeted on the ground floor and directed to our main hall upstairs.
The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and we tend to dress down, rather than dress up for church! It’s really about coming together to worship God as we are – being natural and real is important to us. We have no set procedures so you will not feel you are on the outside not knowing what to do next!
What do we do?
The meeting starts at 10.30 am with songs to God led by a great group of musicians and singers. After the music there is a brief time giving updates to everyone, including what’s happening next week, special announcements and any newsworthy happenings. Then comes the teaching time.
The teaching is relevant and inspiring – aimed at helping you become a stronger and better person and is always based on a passage or theme from the Bible – God’s blueprint for life.
The meeting lasts for around 90 minutes but usually passes very quickly! You’ll love it!! You can participate if you want to, but there is never any pressure on anyone to do or say anything if they just want to be there to enjoy it all!
What about children?
We run a junior group called ‘the Wave’ which leaves the meeting after the updates time, usually around 11.10. They are led by a qualified and reliable team of quality young adults.
There is also a toddlers facility which takes place on the ground floor with crafts, toys and a short child-related teaching time.
After the service
We offer complimentary refreshments in our welcome lounge on the ground floor, where you will be able to meet some of
the people who regularly attend and make King’s the wonderful place that it is.
If you’d like to have someone contact you with more information, or just to answer some of your questions, please do not hesitate to speak to someone in the refreshment time. If you wish to discuss more private issues, a time can be arranged. We are here to help. Alternatively, leave your details and someone will be in touch.
Why not come along and explore the church and the Christian faith with us? You are more than welcome!
Is there parking?
Yes – there is a main public car park in the centre of Bishops Waltham which is less than a minutes’ walk from our front door!
