Tony and his wife Elizabeth came to Bishop’s Waltham in 1986 to work with a small housegroup that was part of the Eastleigh Christian Fellowship. The following year King’s Church was planted and Tony has been the leading elder of the church since then.
Tony’s vision has always been to see people find new life in Christ and to build churches based on the New Testament. His passion is also to promote prayer for revival and to help churches become discipleship-centred communities which produce mature and effective believers. Tony and Elizabeth have pioneered a variety of evangelistic events over the years and more recently have written two discipleship course books – ‘Discovery’ for serious seekers after truth and ‘Foundations’ to help new believers become established in the Christian faith.
Matt & Ruth Small
Matt and Ruth have been active members of the King’s church in Bishops Waltham for the past 19 years. During that time they have loved to serve the church in whatever areas they can. Currently Matt works full time as an elder on the leadership team and enjoys preaching and seeing people grow and mature in God. He also has a heart for prayer and for God’s people to know that prayer really does change things. Ruth heads up the Wave kids church for primary aged children and will often be seen welcoming people into church on a Sunday morning. Ruth also has a

They gradually began to immerse themselves in Church life, initially working with the Young People and then running a Home Group and leading the Stewarding Team.
Ian helps lead the Church meetings on a Sunday morning, has preached on a number of occasions and is a member of the Pastoral team supporting Tony and Matt. Louise, as well as her involvement in Youth Church and Home Group life, is also a regular cake baking contributor to Church events and helps run occasional craft evenings with Kay Booth.

Dan & Dawn Vardy
Hi there, I am Dan. I live in Bishops Waltham with my wife Dawn and our two wonderful children Joshua and Jessica. We’ve been going to King’s Church since 1996 and have served in various capacities. Both Dawn and myself started our time as youthworkers and volunteered for a year in this role.
I now oversee the younger children’s work and child protection, as well being a member of the pastoral team that supports Tony and Matt. On some Sundays you will see me leading the main meeting, where the worship is headed up by Dawn and her team of amazing musicians. Within this role, she prepares the team to lead God’s people into praise and worship, helping worshippers to develop their giftings as well as serving local churches.
We both lead a homegroup, encouraging and building up the church members to strengthen their own relationship with God and draw people unto our loving Father.
We love God’s people and are privileged to be part of what God is doing in Bishops Waltham.
Jonathan & Kay Booth
Hi, we are Jonathan and Kay Booth. We joined Kings Church Bishops Waltham in 1997 and have grown up with the Church. We have both served many years working with the Wave Kids Church and other children’s work. We lead a home group and Jonathan is a member of the church pastoral team, supporting Tony and Matt.
Kay also runs a pre-school group called MessyMakers at the Church building on Tuesdays and The Lounge coffee morning on Thursdays for mums and children.
We love being part of this community, helping others, serving the Church, sharing God’s love with others and the message of hope in Jesus Christ.
Joe & Naomi Hunter
Naomi and I have been regular members of the Kings Church for the last 15 years and are passionate about serving God in the community where we live. Between us we lead an evening and daytime home group where we meet with other Christians from the church and share our mutual love of God and his word through prayer and bible study. We are also involved in facilitating the ” Discovery course” which Tony Cauchi wrote as a brilliant introduction to Christianity. We chose the Kings Church a long time ago because of the genuine warmth of the welcome and the love of the people there. That hasn’t changed in all the years we have been here and being a part of gods family here has made the biggest positive difference to both our lives.
Hi, I am Angela, I have lived in Bishops Waltham for many years. I have two grown up children, Michelle & Kerrie. I have been at The Kings Church since 1996 and find the worship & teaching inspiring. I love being part of the family of God, which has been a life changing experience. I am a Home Group leader and have a passion to encourage and support others in their own walk with Jesus. I enjoy the fellowship & friendships that are formed both in the home group and the wider church family, sharing in the love of our Father.
