KING'S CHURCH STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

The doctrinal basis of the King's Church are fundamental truths of Christianity as revealed in Scripture, including:-

a) The unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.

b) The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and the final judgement.

c) The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Scripture as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

d) The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

e) The full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, His virgin birth and His real and sinless humanity, His death on the cross, His bodily resurrection and His present reign in heaven and on earth.

f) Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death, once and for all time, of our representative and substitute, Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man.

g) Justification as God’s act of undeserved mercy, by which the sinner is pardoned of all his sins, and accepted as righteous in God’s sight, only because of the righteousness of Christ imparted to him, his justification being received by faith alone.

h) The need for the Holy Spirit to make the work of Christ effective to the individual sinner, granting him the ability to repent toward God and exercise faith in the work of Christ on the Cross.

i) The indwelling of the Holy Spirit in all those thus regenerated, producing in them an increasing likeness to Christ in character and behaviour, and the baptism in the Holy Spirit empowering them for their witness in the world and gifted service in the church.

j) The one holy universal Church, which is the Body of Christ, and to which all true believers belong.

k) The future personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge all men, executing God’s just condemnation on the unrepentant and receiving the redeemed to eternal glory, and the literal and eternal nature of heaven and hell.

Accessibility:

We have the following facilities:

  • Stairlift - at the back of the church.
  • Disabled toilets - ground floor.

Please let one of the Welcome Team know if you have any further access needs.

Our Service - What to expect
  • We begin the service with a time of worship and prayer, with up to 5 songs led by our band.
  • News updates and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church will also be communicated during the service.
  • One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life.
  • We then finish with a final worship song. Sometimes there is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.
  • After the service you are more than welcome to stay behind for a cuppa and a chat.
What about my kids?

We have a great programme lined up for kids of all ages:

  • King's Kids (5-11 years).
  • Youth (11-15 years), meet every 1st and 3rd week of the month.
  • Young people (15+ years) Stay in service.

Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service for the welcome, songs and notices. We really value worshipping God all together as a family. At the end of the notices someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their various groups. You will need to go with your children to their groups and register them as part of our child safety policy. Whilst you are dropping your kids off at their groups, we pause to take time to chat to someone sitting near or next to us, giving folk a chance to come back before the sermon begins.

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.
